The clients approached ANSA Homes for their knockdown-rebuild project, with a vision to build a more functional family home but also to integrate a contemporary granny flat, adding both versatility and value to the property.

The triumph of the interior design in this Japanese-inspired home lies in its adept use of natural, moody tones and simple colour palette to create a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.

Result
The thoughtful combination of modern design elements and detaildl planning resulted in a harmonious living space that seamlessly blended with the exterior environment. The views of the park opposite and the inclusion of a large pool with lap swimming lane became a highlight that the living area of the home is built around. The inclusion of a granny flat not only provided additional living quarters but also afforded the flexibility to accommodate extended family members or serve as a potential rental space, enhancing the overall functionality and affordability of the property.

Japanese interior design is celebrated for its minimalistic elegance, functional aesthetics, and deep reverence for nature. The classic combination of black and white paired with natural timber reflects the beauty of the natural materials.

The home at Cherrybrook was a 4 bedroom residence with a pool. The home was built in the late 80's and needed renovation to allow the family to live comfortably. The revised design moved the pool to accomodate a lap swimming lane. This residence not only revitalised the living space but also offered the convenience of multi-generational living or supplementary rental income for the family.
